HAPPY NEW WEEK!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week.
When I was young, I spent a lot of time on the Gulf coast of Florida. My then-husband had family there. I so loved watching the Gulf wildlife. Tonight, the area where I explored the wild is under a mandatory evacuation order. It's expected to be hit hard by the massive Hurricane Irma. (For perspective: Irma is bigger than France.) My thoughts are with the people and the wildlife throughout the southeast U.S.

We haven't seen or heard our Barnies on the way to Caerlaverock and Mersehead yet - they are probably sheltering at Montrose and Loch Leven on the way as our weather is super-wet this weekend.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Correction - according to WWT Caerlaverock, Barnies have started arriving - flightpath probably affected by weather.
Hope you get to see some, then, OG.
It's been a day of heavy showers here. I've made an industrial sized amount of beef & onion stew, so the whole house smells of onions, now!
There are worse smells, LINDY:-)))
Good Morning, All. We awake with trepidation these mornings, wondering what damage the hurricanes have brought. I hope that the worst is over for USA, now.
Dry here at present, with a grey blue sky, but heavy showers expected.
Here's today's pic:

Rain, rain, rain again.

Much dryer here today!
Couldn't go out Friday for meal and concert - J's toe was too painful and couldn't even get his slippers on - didn't even attempt shoes. He and I had some good discussions Saturday while OH was out, then all were at home Sunday - weather too bad for me. OH has taken J for his toe to be dressed this morning, but he will probably drop him off at work for the rest of the day - hopefully on light duties for a few days.
