HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH and HAPPY FULL MOON
The full moon is Wednesday. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a great September!
This past week was the 8th anniversary of this thread! Thanks, Annette, for starting it. May we all remain friends and preserve our bond.

LINDY Sorry you have some family probs. wishing you all the best.
ROSY Sorry too that your OH has some health issues.
HEATHER Great to know you are getting plenty of family support.
Morning all: Thunder and lightning and heavy downpour yesterday afternoon; almost tropical. Overcast, humid and just a tad cooler today. Apparently we also had a shower during the night.
AQ: I love the photos and probably don't have time to Google anything right now - but I wonder about the people who started building that back-ender(?) house: What were their hopes and dreams and what happened that they never finished the house. Tx for the link to the horses (and beyond). We have people here who go off-grid; I was trying to think about the things I'd really miss but the list is so long I think I'd just better stay put.
Heather: Hmmm; interesting about the guy with the high-viz jacket on. Wonder if you'll hear what happened.
I was wondering: Has anyone heard from Margo's husband? I was wondering how he's been. I know Brenda's husband reads the posts and hope he and his family are all okay too. Hugs to them both and, of course, Harelady too.
Labor Day here - the unofficial end of summer. Where did it go?
Take care all.
Why.O why? What has a Goosander ever done to hurt anyone? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-41148073
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Sorry, it won't create hyperlink.
ANNETTE - I think Brenda's husband still has contact with Margo's, but I believe he said he hadn't heard from him for several months.
OG. Here it is (Did you use rich formatting ?)
I have not heard from Chris for a while either. I sent him various info re Poole and the boat trips etc but have had no response since.
Birdies LG DU update.
OG: I copy/pasted that link. Gosh, those are lovely birds (and even if they weren't....) Hope they get whoever shot it, but it seems they rarely do and then get what? a slap on the wrist? :-(
Thanks for the "no news" re Chris; let's hope he's happy and healthy.
MIKE and ANNETTE - yes I did use rich formatting! (it usually works for me)
We're safely home, and have just eaten a shop bought lasagne and flopped into chairs. There was no need for us to stay over, although I'd packed some things quickly for that eventuality.
Our family are alright: I can't explain myself, but our son was very grateful to us for rushing over - I think it was OG who said, once a parent, always a parent! Our grandsons were pleased to have our unexpected visit, and we enjoyed seeing them. Tomasz is starting school again on Wednesday, and is very proud that now he's gone up a year, he'll be one of the "Big Boys". (He's 7 in December).
I'm cross beyond words over the poor goosander.....
p.s. I've not heard from Margo's husband, either.
