I'll let some of my favorite cartoon characters transition us from summer to autumn and into the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
As the 2017 osprey Season closes at Loch Garten, I am wishing for a better one come 2018.
Yep, Sheila, that's about it--a roller coaster (although I continue to hope for peace and calm at all of the nests)!
Kind regards, Ann
See you there too Sheila and Ann, and everyone else who will be glued to see what is going to happen!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Good evening all. Hope you had a peaceful and quiet Christmas. Not long to wait nowcfor the season to begin again! Always seems to come round really quickly after Christmas!
Whilst searching earlier I came across these Two threads that may bring back some memories.

Good evening all. Sunnykate thankyou for the link to the beginnings of the Gabfest! I read it with some sadness as there were some really interesting lively chats with Sunshine who sadly no.longer with us.In those days I was just a lurked and read the thread with interest and updates! How things have changed over the years I think lots have moved to Facebook! Thanks again Sunnykate ☺
Kate, Lovely photo, but photo and both threads are before my time on the Forum so someone else will have to answer!
I followed the link and it is indeed the very beginning of The Gabfest. Sunshine was much loved hereon the Gabfest. You will notice he was the very first to respond when I first open the thread. He was sadly missed when he became too ill to communicate with us andwe grieved at his death. I still miss his presence here.
Interesting, June. Sadly, the older we get the more likely it is that friends and relatives become ill or become ill and die. It can make those who remain all the more precious, so thanks for carrying on with the Gabfest!
I have moved to Facebook, but not by choice. It is a very poor substitute for the fun and good fellowship of the old Gabfest and for the round-the-clock osprey watching, reporting and discussion that we shared then. Great times!
However, to be fair, through Facebook I have found precious friends from the distant past and can keep in touch with them and with family.
