HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

I've chosen a deer picture this week, because a doe white-tailed deer and her twins have been visiting my house every night at dusk to eat my weeds. :-) The little male is very feisty and bold. His daddy is the impressive old buck who often sleeps in the brush by my garage.

Everyone here is eagerly awaiting the Total Solar Eclipse. At my house, the eclipse will be 93% total. I'm not going south to the path of totality.

Best wishes to everyone!

  • PS -- Our Eldest arrived here with news of a holiday just booked for September, in Spain. "We're going to somewhere called Cambrils" he said.......

  • Oh dear, LINDY. I bet your eyes looked like golf balls when he told you... As DIBNLIB said, nowhere is 100% safe these days and we must live our lives and not give in to these people. Speaking about Spain, I have been asked to join our Danish friends for a holiday near Alicante, in October. Impossible for me to go, eldest and Sam will be here that same week, which is half term in Shropshire.

Another dull day here, with showers. I'm going up to eldest daughter's house this afternoon.

If I remember correctly, OG has her daughter visiting today.

  • OG    Hope you are having a good day with family.

LINDY    I am sure that Cambrils will not be attacked again.Hope your son has a great time.

  • Heather.  Son told us three days ago, just before the awful events. He is not worried, as he says it's the same pretty much everywhere you go, now, anyway. Just received a text saying that they have arrived home safely. They will need a holiday, after all the disruption of the builders in their house! They have been knocking down walls in his absence.

    Thank you, Dibnlib.

  • I know what it is like when there is a knock through, LINDY but hope that the builders kept the dust etc as contained as possible.

Eldest daughter and I had a good chatty afternoon and I got my nails done by her at the same time! After all that, we did some shopping in the large Tesco store.

WENDY - I can picture your beach hut!

  • Not a finger nail girl but love goth coloured gel on my toes Heather.

Rain on and off all day which has been good as felt wiped out after wood stacking.

OH had been on Daisy walk duty. Hope to do more tomorrow .

Beach hut clock is up and looking good. I have ordered a beach hut design shower curtain to hang halfway down to blank out "stuff" behind. It's where I store dustbins of bird feed and use it as a tin and bottle pantry to free up space indoors.

Once OG has enjoyed daughter time I might as her to post sideways photos for me :-))

  • Grim weather here - lots of heavy rain, but at least the wind has calmed down a bit.

Just cooked an easy meal of small steak slices, with mushrooms, cauliflower and oven chips. Had a nice glass of red wine with it: mine diluted with lemonade as I get headaches with red if I indulge in it too much.

Wendy -- I love your beach hut, even without seeing it! Hope we do get to see some pics of it later.
