Hi everyone, a mixed day, intruders about, lots of shouting and shrieking and mantling. EJ and the young ones saw them off though.
Not sure how many fish, I think 4 were delivered. All had something to eat eventually, Greedy guts (#1) hogged fish when it could but I suppose that is the norm. Middle and younges still haven't fledged but whethe they will in the next few days who knows as the weather forecast is pretty grim for this part of the country
Leave you with the bairns all close together, sleeping. Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

jsb, I had forgotten that song !
Night cam now on. Youngest preening and middle one must be right on the edge of the nest, left hand side, out of sight.
Eldest just flew down to the nest, I think, or was it the middle one coming down off the edge of the nest to be next to its sibling. Middle one not eldest as it is now sitting with the youngest.
No, I was right first time, it was the eldest. Now the middle one has joined the other two.
Barbara Jean Advancement is hard to judge as each situation is so different. The weather does seem to play quite a big role in the fledging time. Wind seems to speed up the fledging time and rain seems to delay it. There are other factors like how well fed the birds are etc. These birds do seem exceptionally well fed.
I guess they will all fly quite soon given good weather.

Lets hope the weather improves soon, Tiger, although the weather forecast isn't that good for Scotland at the moment.
