Hi everyone, a mixed day, intruders about, lots of shouting and shrieking and mantling. EJ and the young ones saw them off though.
Not sure how many fish, I think 4 were delivered. All had something to eat eventually, Greedy guts (#1) hogged fish when it could but I suppose that is the norm. Middle and younges still haven't fledged but whethe they will in the next few days who knows as the weather forecast is pretty grim for this part of the country
Leave you with the bairns all close together, sleeping. Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Brilliant capture Lynette. I was watching No 1 flying around.
Was that the eldest who just returned or #2??
By the white on it's head I thought it may be #2. At one point it appeared #3 was alone on the nest
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Yes, I just caught a glimpse of the third chick on the left, You are right it was No1 flying, round and round.

Sat track schedule Spring 2014
LG 7 days; RW & SWT nil; LDOP varies
Barbara Jean, you can just sometimes see feathers off to the left. Have to say it's much darker in Cumbria than at LG, though I can still see the difference between sky and neighbour's rooftop.
Terry in Cumbria
I just saw wings flapping on the left side of the net
EDIT #1 just flew around and landed on the camera post . It always give a little high pitched "Odin screech" when it lands to announce it's arrival LOL
No 2 has reappeared and No1 has gone to the cam post.
No 1 is now on camera post.

That was the eldest chick of EJ and Henry (well more likely to be OVS) in 2006. She was hatched on May 21st 2006 and her maiden flight was July 10 2006.
That was the year that when Henry turned up (April 10) EJ had already been having her by now annual romp with OVS for quite some time but had as yet not laid any eggs. Henry was fooled and as a consequence raised three chicks which were not his own.

You can see on Lynette 's first photograph that there are two on the nest ( head of chick, right on the left edge of picture) as one can be seen flying.
Night cam on.
