Hi everyone, a mixed day, intruders about, lots of shouting and shrieking and mantling. EJ and the young ones saw them off though.
Not sure how many fish, I think 4 were delivered. All had something to eat eventually, Greedy guts (#1) hogged fish when it could but I suppose that is the norm. Middle and younges still haven't fledged but whethe they will in the next few days who knows as the weather forecast is pretty grim for this part of the country
Leave you with the bairns all close together, sleeping. Happy viewing, see you in the morning.

Hmmm. EJ seems to have lost interest in feeding and the reticent chick, which she didn't feed, has gone off with the remainder of the fish. The other two chicks followed, but didn't "demand" any more and weren't aggressive. Then the reticent chick came back to the middle of the nest to look for morsels and now Titch - I think - has toddled over to see what's left. Except the one I thought was Titch has just flown off, so must now assume that was #1 since it didn't have the pronounced white stripes on the tail. Am also checking jsb's new thread, but it's hard to tell which is which when they're all wet and won't sit still! From the sounds of it, #1 has just returned to the camera post.
Eldest is now on the camera post. He is calling and sound "exactly " like Odin with his high pitched screech.
If I didn't know it was the eldest chick calling I would swear it was Odin.

AQ/Barbara Jean: I have to sign off now; gotta be out of the house just after 7:30 a.m..and won't sleep if I stay up too late (go figure). Anyway, must say both chicks on the nest look a bit bedraggled and dejected, as if "When is this rain going to quit?" :-(
Take care all and hope the day's viewing is good.
I'm back again after parading m-o-b outfits for Himself. (He approves.) Now I can down to some serious osprey watching! Two soggy looking GEMs on nest.
I nearly missed that. EJ on nest with fish. Tug of war and GEM won. GEM now mantling & feeding himself. EJ consoles herself with flossing. Other GEM just watches.
I can't tell which bedraggled GEM is which. Is anyone else out there?

LOL AQ I was just hoping someone could do identification as well :)
Well snapped Auntie. EDIT EJ has gone.
The sad one keeps looking up at the camera post. If Greedy is up there, I'm surprised he hasn't come down to steal the fish!
