"Twiggy." is cementing his relationship with CT6 with "fish 'n sticks", but after early morning appearances we were bereft all day and left to waste our energies with speculation and to agonise over absent friends.
Sparrowkin kindly responded re the late evening intruder incident on 14 July:

This morning the Pine Marten appeared briefly, not venturing nearer than the far edge tho. I wonder how many times I've missed it while scooting thru catchup? (I've since double-checked the night and couldn't find any earlier visit.)
Video to follow, need to work on the blasted interference to try to reveal mysterious vocals.
The mysterious noises came from elsewhere, but there is knocking after he disappears:

This is now - it seems to have been a very still night.

Thank you Limpy. I have replied. Sorry to hear the news.
Birdies LG DU update.
I wonder if CT6, given she is a young bird, is using Twiggy and the nest as just a feeding station. Odd the way she fills up on fish and then disappears for a few days.
Still nuffink to report :o(
EDIT. I was thinking along the same lines Lmac.

Me too :)
Yes she seems a little immature for the bonding lark this year..maybe she will be a formidable force by next year.
Hello! I've been quietly watching for the past couple of hours, and unless someone landed everso quietly, and made off very quickly, I have only seen a fly on the lens, and heard the chirping of a wee birdie. Even the sun has disappeared after such a promising start. The wind is really quite soporific!
I loved Scylla's 07.17 vid, and Moffer's excellent captures of young (I am assuming he is also a bird in need of a first-time mate) Twiggy. I burst out laughing when he had one caught up against the cam support. How delightful that you spotted the pine marten, Scylla! I wonder whether there were any kits this year.

Hi Sheila. I also ment to mention the Pine Marten. Well done on catching that Scylla. Perhaps he's checking out his winter quarters early this year. I too wonder if there are kits.
Hello Moffer. Watching an empty nest is a bit like waiting for the kettle to boil or the paint to dry, yet it's still quite compelling, despite the garden needing attention and the ironing pile so high it's falling over!

I am leaving for a while. Still nothing seen or heard.
A sudden silence alerted me so I refreshed:
Have just refreshed again and it's still down.
