The 22nd of July was marked by the absence of so many of our stalwart members. It was also one of the quietest we've had, after a feisty start to the day by the unringed male who has adopted the nest.
EDIT @ 0500hr - I just checked back to see what time the UR first landed and I see that MIKE wasn't the only early poster I missed - MOFFER had posted daycam, and I duped her - sorry, Moffer ;)
It seemed that he was aware of another osprey 'out there' but we saw no-one, however two 'bouts' of skydancing were heard - would a male do that if there was no-one to see and hear him? But if there's a female around, why didn't she come to the nest that he's been working on?
The only other visitor of note was a beautiful one-eyed ;) crow.
.
It's now much later than the post's time, it's taken so long to get the ending and starting posts posted!

Back with stick and 2 chirps.
Flown.
Good Morning MC. This boy is becoming a regular around this time.

Heave! But the end of the stick is caught in the edge sticks:
Oops!
Anybody watching?
This boy has a thing about awkward sticks it seems?
Definite wings that time, but I think they flew in and straight away again.
Onto nest with a small piece of something, or did he land on it? One chirp.
Flown, chirp heard afterwards.
Long looks this way and that:
More wings incoming - but I can never tell if he lands on the campost, he's so quiet compared to EJ.
