HAPPY NEW WEEK!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  • Hope things go well for Daisy, Wendy.

OG -- What a delight little Miriam is!! Such a smiler! Aaah!  She will be much loved, I'm sure.

Sunny and bright here. Popped out for some flowers, and visited Friend: she is doing well and is always sensible. She has had a lot of pain this time so is on morphine plus some other stuff. Off for physio on Thursday, they like you to exercise the new knee right away to keep it moving. She's sorry to have to give the Tatton Flower Show a miss this year, which begins today - we are going on Friday.

  • MIRIAM

    I'm Miriam the merry!

I smile the whole day long.

    I'm cheerful as a cherry,

And will fill the world with song.

All who come to meet me,

Will keep a smile upon their face,

    Any sadness won't defeat me,

I'll keep low feelings in their place.

As I grow, and find my part in life,

    I'll always find the space

    For happiness, and joy,

    Wher'er they both reside

I'll bring the best of both to life,

And keep them by my side.

    The ancient Egyptians knew

That such gifts come from above:

They named the girl who they treasured so,

    As Miriam -- the Beloved.

  • Lovely, LINDA - I'll send it to her parents!  But Miriam was actually Jewish (Israelite) - Moses' big sister!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Well Daisy is home but not until 5pm...

Long story but she now has a fear of needles after so many procedures...

Lovely yellow bandage and a boot...

First thing she wanted to do was to lie in the sun outside vets..

On getting home she lay on her outside bed to get the rays but had to sit with her as she is on lead anything for 14 days. It's going to be a long fortnight:-(

    Thanks for asking after her:-)

  • OG: That's one very good-natured little person; what a sweetheart.

  • Let's give LINDY Some poetic licence, OG :-)) I have quite forgotten who Miriam was but now seem to remember a story about bullrushes.

  • What a lovely day here! It won't last but has been appreciated. I pottered in the garden, did some shopping. Ate outside.

Loved the picture of Miriam, OG. She really seems a happy baby.

I didn't go with the family to Loch Morlich but hear that they had a great time a nd enjoyed their picnic. (Known in our family as a nic nic) Obviously some little one or other christened it so, donkeys years ago....

I know!! --- but if you read about the meaning of her name, on Wiki, to the end of the article, it says a bit about the Egyptians. Their meaning was "beloved" which I thought was beautiful.

    Glad you enjoyed.

  • Wendy. Dogs do seem to bounce back from things, a bit like children do. They're very resilient. Glad that she's recovering.

  • Lindy snoozing on her chaise.. :-)
