HAPPY NEW WEEK!I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
All the best for tomorrow, WENDY, I hope she co-operates with the early walk!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OH is in charge of that and she will do anything for him.!
Hello! I came on here twice this afternoon, and tried to post, but nothing would post.....
Ho hum.
The carpet fitters came early and were very swift. They also kindly restretched our hall carpet, which had got a bit crumpled. By 10.00am all was done and we were able to put a few things away. Had to wait until afternoon, though for Cousin to have time to pop in, and heave all the heavy stuff back into the room. The weather was kind and we were able to leave our large round dining table outside in the garden until he came!
In between, we had a visit from my Friends OH and he left their dog with us as she was due to be clipped, so I was able to help out and take her to the groomers whilst Friend was being collected from hospital by him... complicated sounding but all worked out.
Not much time left in the end for putting anything back in the cupboards, so we sat in the garden for half an hour and then were too weary anyway!
Carpet looks darker than I expected but is Bonnie coloured, so should wear well!
Yay OG – One extra leg, down from 4 extra!
Linda - Bonnie-coloured carpet? LOL
Good Morning, All. Dry and bright here.
I'm drinking my tea and wondering which box of stuff to tackle first! Then I will be dashing off to get some flowers for Friend, and going to visit her, at home at last. Spoke to her on the phone last night and she sounded very positive.
Good news that you're doing so well, OG! - can just see you, galloping around the house (well, nearly......) determined to get back to normal.
Have a good day, everyone.
Here's today's pic:
"You mustn't forget to pack everything you need!"
Hello all -
Another glorious day here, it is so nice that the schoolchildren can enjoy it. Quite often, up here, we have poor weather in the school summer holidays and then back to good weather just when they return to school.
OG - It is so great to read that you are at times managing with one crutch.
LINDY - enjoy your Bonnie carpet!
Hope that everyone is OK, thinking about WENDY's Daisy.
OH's son is going to appear at some point today and disconnect the electricity in the greenhouse. In reality he is just going to pull out a couple of plugs. I've tried in vain, I can do a lot of things but Dupuytrens in both hands seems to have affected the strength of my grip. I've decided that I won't be overwintering fuschias and pelargoniums, it is probably cheaper to buy new each year. So I don't need a heated greenhouse. Should save some money! Plus, I just don't have the huge interest in propagation of plants that my OH had. As well as the heater there is a heated tray, plus electric lighting in there. Could hold a party except it is only a small greenhouse!
Good morning, ALL. Nice weather again (due to end in early hours tomorrow!). OH has dentist appointment late morning. Hopefully some weeding this afternoon.
WENDY - thinking of Daisy - hope all goes smoothly and no after effects.
LINDA - carpet day sounds good, even fitting in haircut for Friend's dog! Pleased she is home and sounds like doing well. Love today's photo!
HEATHER - sensible decision re greenhouse electrics. OH brought in first two cucumbers on Sunday so am hoping to send cucumber, a courgette and some tomatoes to Dau in J's luggage tomorrow!
Another Miriam photo.
What a cutie OG...
Another gorgeous day up here...
Daisy grumpy as no morning decaff tea with a waft of milk in her Dorset Tea tea bowl.
She isn't keen on vets waiting room but once in she can't wait to get through the consulting room door that leads to the hospital bit. They say she is a joy to have in thereas she seems to have a calming influence on those that are stressed.
