HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY FULL MOON!

The Full Moon is at:

5:07 a.m. Sunday morning in the U.K.

12:07 a.m. (just after midnight Saturday night) in the eastern U.S.

9:07 p.m. Saturday night in California

The July Full Moon is traditionally called the Full Buck Moon or the Full Thunder Moon.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  • LOL!  - I assumed they'd had a quick bathroom break during the time I'd cooked and eaten dinner!  We were discussing the ball boys & girls for the same reason, but realised that they get swapped as do the linesman, at one of the changes of ends.

What a match!!  They must be soo tired!

  • Wow. That match was right up there with some of the most memorable. To answer my own question re bathroom breaks, I imagine the players are too busy sweating to need any!

  • I don't know about them, but I think I need a shower myself now, after just watching all the exertion today....

Felt sorry for Nadal, he looked very disappointed.

  • I’ve been lurking again. All well. Lovely sunny day. I've been out in the garden with my step-stool to sit while I weed. Easy to pull up after the rain. White jonquils have decided it is spring. No nanny duty this week as school holidays. Dau has holiday activities booked and she & Co will come to visit us for lunch & play next week. Twins recently realised OH & I live together. We have been visiting them separately for too long! Chauffeur Friend & I are planning an escape to Clare Valley Thurs. We shall leave early 8.15 am for the 2-hour drive.

  • AQ: Have fun with friend. I hope you have some good eateries on your list in addition to churches....   I'm trying to imagine the look on twins' faces when they realized you and OH are an item.

Lindybird: I also felt bad for Nadal - he's done better this year after a few rough years and to lose out at this point must've been devastating.  Mueller didn't seem to break a sweat at any time - just kept to his game plan throughout.  I was interested in commentary noting that Nadal was playing far back beyond the baseline and the suggestion was that he might need to come closer to the net to be less predictable. That comment was followed immediately by two examples of Mueller taking advantage of Nadal's long-distance stance. Oh well....   Easy to criticize when you're not the one playing..

  • Good Morning.  Very wet here. My OH is on the phone, cancelling his golf outing today.

LOL, AQ!!  - I'm laughing, too! Hope that you enjoy your trip on Thursday.

I'm going to be starting the packing up of glassware etc. which resides in my dining room furniture, in readiness for eventual fitting of the new carpet. We're going to take up and dispose of the old carpet ourselves, plus my OH is going to paint the skirting boards. Not got a date for it all happening, yet.

  • Oh, yes, Annette --  I have plenty of advice for the tennis players, shouting it out at times....  They don't seem to pay me any attention, though :-/

TV is just showing the covers on the courts, which are supposed to be coming off soon as it's not raining there at the moment.

  • Here's today's pc:

"Where are we off to, today, dad?"

  • What MissJ actually said, pointing to me, was “That’s G-pa’s Mummy”. I understood immediately. To her people are not male & female, they are daddies & mummies. She’s quite right - a goodly proportion are!

Look at the time, I should be in the kitchen greeting veggies . . .

  • Had an electrical emergency through most of yesterday.  Okay now, but hairdresser nearly due, so will have to come back later.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
