9:07 p.m. Saturday night in CaliforniaThe July Full Moon is traditionally called the Full Buck Moon or the Full Thunder Moon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Lindy: I loved the dancing animals poem. Very clever!
OG: That photo of Miriam is absolutely perfect. What a lovely child.
Limpy: Nice to see you. Say hello to Clare.
Yay, I heard from Annette, and she's okay! Woo hoo!
Thank YOU Diane. As I mentioned, you are looking at some severe weather tomorrow in your neck of the woods, so take care.
OG: Usually the wind does indeed come in from the ocean, but when the various fronts around the Southwest converge in a certain configuration the winds, which are by then typically hot and dry, come roaring down through the canyons and it takes very little for any spark to catch and set the dry chaparral ablaze. Anyway, this fire was heading over the hills to the ocean last night, but then the winds changed and the humidity went up, which has dampened its advance, though there's still a lot of dry brush up there. They were also saying today that the big fires we've had in those hills over the last three years ate up a lot of dead brush so to some extent those areas form a natural fire break. Aren't you glad you asked! :-)) I love Miriam's throne!
Heather: A gardening career sounds wonderful. Wish I'd thought of that.
Hope Monday is kind to all....
Good Morning. A relief to hear from Annette that all is well.
OG - Love the cute pic of little Miriam! What a pretty child.
It's raining here! Looks strange...... but it'll be good for the garden.
Tried three times to post a pic -- the Site is playing up......
Here's today's pic:
LINDY Thank you, a real smiley poem.
Off to watch Johanne Konte play........fingers crossed for her.
OG: Great-grandkids are all great! I have 6 now. Probably that will be it. OOPS I think I flagged your post by accident. Don't know how I did that! Sorry. I don't know how to un-flag it.

We've had heavy showers, this morning. Went off to visit sis-in-law and have a chat about family matters, also gave her a clock which is redundant here since we bought a new, more suitable one for our conservatory. Showed her how good some trousers which she gave to me, look when they're on me!!
I'm busy altering some new trousers which I bought in the Sales: they're rarely the right length for me, so I'm expert at alterations, now. I do them by hand as it's quicker than getting out the old sewing machine. Same time as watching Konta on the tennis- quite nailbiting.....
