The morning poem is me to a T I have a teasmade and have a cup of tea before I get out of bed. The best pancakes I have had are at Baxters in their restaurant in Fochabars you can have either sweet or savoury and you watch them getting made.

Morning all: Quick look in before I too head to the gym. I started Tai Chi classes a couple of months ago and love it - great for balance. Yoga this afternoon, which I hope isn't as wobbly as last week.
OG: Didn't realize J was having surgery on his eye; what a bother to have to wait so long.
Lindybird: Finally saw the clematis this morning, thanks to oddities with site. I love that burgundy one.
George: We set our coffee maker so it's waiting for me first thing - I have my first cup in bed too. Lovely lazy way to start the day.
Heather: Hope things didn't go bump in the night again and that you got some good sleep. Sounds like a lovely day out with the family.
Lynette: Have not tried a Dessert Tortoise and think I'll pass. :-)) Swim should feel good and not hurt the toe. Enjoy.
AQ: We can grow clematis here so you should be able to there, right? Same Mediterranean climate? I had to knock the /food/ part of the Pancake Kitchen link to get to the home page. I see they're having a Fork of July celebration and redoing their menu with "American-style" additions. Think huge and fattening! Also see they have a competition where the grand prize is a year's supply of pancakes! I put on weight just reading that.
Must get organized, but thoughts with Harelady for what must seem a wretchedly unreal time in her life....
Take care all...
Hello all - just a quick look in, have been gardening all day and whacked!
Tomorrow, solicitor at midday, meeting middle daughter in town and then home to the garden, if the weather forecast is accurate!
Love the clematis, LINDY. My Nelly Moser is just about over, must prune it? Have to look it up.
Heather. Have a look at last Fridays Gardeners World on iPlayer. All about Clematis. (BBC 2)
Birdies LG DU update.
Hi, all. Space post (ignore if you aren't interested).
Thanks MIKE, will do!
To all those tea and coffee folks: I can't bear to eat or drink in bed, like going for a daytime nap - it just feels wrong (although I do have a glass of water by the bed at night, I usually only sip it if I am already up)
ANNETTE - yup; J and I were in competition to see who would get the eye surgery first (his eye muscles so he won't need such strong prisms, if any, mine for cataracts. I dropped out of the race when they sent for me from hospital, and then decided they couldn't do the tests precisely enough with me lying on a stretcher - I have to discuss with GP for re-referral when I am "well". (right eye is next to useless now, so will be glad when it can be done). I also noticed the tortoise was not main course, but didn't dare make the comment!
HEATHER - good luck with the solicitor - I hope it won't be too difficult. Our forecast tomorrow is heavy rain - not looking forward to that as I am seeing my GP in the afternoon, for a general check-up and update.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG - I only drink tea or wine in bed! But at opposite ends of the day...... Although I mentioned porridge in the ditty, I always eat it downstairs. Rarely eat anything in bed. Have to be feeling decidedly unwell to be in or on the bed in the daytime - I nap on the sofa!
Hope that J can get his "eye" appointment sorted. Will have my fingers crossed for your getting to the GP in the dry!
Have done exciting things today, like getting all the old doggy towels washed, and putting stuff away. Dashed out to the shops in some old trousers, hoping I wouldn't see anyone I knew. Saw a friend of a friend, who is too much taken up with his health to notice what I was wearing....
Heather - We don't prune the clematis in the plum tree at all, we just let it run wild. I think you're supposed to, though.
Annette - The purple clematis is a very small one, only 3ft high but I love the deep coloured, velvety flowers.
Off to look at Diane's launch before I put out the lights......
