EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Gosh, Mary, I've been trying to do a MOFFER with VLC snaps and it's quite beyond me:( Am now hours behind and very confused.
It was Z7 who was on the nest with Z8 first thing, but he flew off.
Z8 spent time shouting and gaping (every time he stuck his tongue out the pic blurred!) and I was hoping he'd cast a pellet but if he did I missed it:
Back to shouting:
Flexi-neck:
Fly-off:
Later, when Z8 was screaming on the perch he was buzzed - surely the colour is wrong for Z6, who zipped by right afterwards and landed on the nest?
1m10s
Could it have been a kite? (Otherwise, one of Rutland's EGs, lol.)
Then Z6 arrived:
Heaven knows what's happened since. There must have been fish but I've worn myself out - loads more snaps during the above period but they won't get posted now!
IMAGICAT
Some of what happened was...
Apparently Z6 flew off while the cam was focused on Z8 on the perch, then Z8 came to the nest, got fed up standing and sat down for a shout:
He finds the left side interesting:
Who goes there?
Off he flew and returned somewhat disguised:
After a while calling, up to perch:
Flew just after this:
Repeated the nest-to-perch routine.
Still on the perch, and I've seen no parent and no fish.
All three chicks reported on Dyfi chat as being seen at Glaslyn. Currently Mrs G is on the perch, Z7 is eating a fish and Z8 screaming for some.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good looking Lads at Glaslyn....

Only one now
One bird on the perch??
One on the nest now
Dyfi chat says it is Z7 Patily.
I've only just remembered to load the cam, don't know who this is but it looks like not-Z8?
