A lot of activity yesterday as opposed to the quiet the previous day. The most surprising thing happened early in the day when scylla saw an unringed male osprey (most likely PU) land on EJ's back momentarily, paddling, before flying off. And EJ did not protest! THEN... it happened AGAIN! (scylla's video of 2nd time) Had to rub my eyes on those captures and videos! Once she flew off, the camera person caught THREE osprey flying in the distance! (by Moffer)
Later, the camera person spied EJ hanging out in the lookout tree and also in the camera tree. (by BNN) After that, she revolved through the nest, the cam post, the tree until the end of the day. Speaking of the day, our very own Catlady was at LG viewing all the excitement IN THE FLESH and provided us with a spirited account! After this, I'm ready for a nap.
More importantly, is PU EJ's major suitor, and where is FC8???

Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017

Morning all, some more activity this morning, what will unfold today I wonder. Well I am so glad I visited yesterday as it is peeing rain, cold and windy at the moment. Think it will be a stay in the tent day! It's cosy, got heating, food and drink ( tea and coffee) before you get any ideas, and plenty to read. Hope tomorrow is better.
Thanks for the link last night Mike, indeed that is was I was looking for.
Scylla, that is a pine tree with the new growth on top.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
EJ on nest "defending".

Visitor descended, she's not aggressive, but he ascended after a very short stay. I have to replay to see if there's a BTO ring or a dirty ankle.
EJ's chirps/tweets are not repellent ;)
But then more of a proper alarm call - it's confusing!
Gone.
Skydancing too! Or maybe not --- now I am hearing another birdie and perhaps am confusing things. :-?
