A lot of activity yesterday as opposed to the quiet the previous day. The most surprising thing happened early in the day when scylla saw an unringed male osprey (most likely PU) land on EJ's back momentarily, paddling, before flying off. And EJ did not protest! THEN... it happened AGAIN! (scylla's video of 2nd time) Had to rub my eyes on those captures and videos! Once she flew off, the camera person caught THREE osprey flying in the distance! (by Moffer)
Later, the camera person spied EJ hanging out in the lookout tree and also in the camera tree. (by BNN) After that, she revolved through the nest, the cam post, the tree until the end of the day. Speaking of the day, our very own Catlady was at LG viewing all the excitement IN THE FLESH and provided us with a spirited account! After this, I'm ready for a nap.
More importantly, is PU EJ's major suitor, and where is FC8???

Morning Patily
I can hear crows cawing in the background now.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
She is back again. Mantling and alarm chirping.
She is back and mantling
Hi Patily. What a kerfuffle this early on!
Birdies LG DU update.
She is on and off the nest all the time.
EJ has flown again
Back again calling furiously.
I hope she has had her early morning fish, as she will need it for all the energy she is using up with all this chasing, shouting, back and forth to the nest.
It seems to have all quietened down for a while. So I will go for now.
Happy Webcam watching to all who follow. :-)
Major kerfuffle was over a blue ringed female who got too close and eventually was chased out of the area by EJ. The more minor spats were with an unringed male who has also now gone as has EJ.
