EJ appeared only once yesterday at the nest, in the early morning before disappearing. Then came a happy surprise when Moffer discovered that EJ had been photographed by Douglas McVittie, fishing at Aviemore, carrying one of her EJ whoppers! In the meantime, no one else laid claim to the nest. Though the roving camera regularly checked all of the usual perches during the day, and an osprey was spotted in the distance, she herself was not located. So we wait to see what new developments await us today, including FC8 or Double Trouble. And... hopefully, someone will eventually find out about the various ringed osprey that have shown themselves on EJ's territory.

Lovely start to the day, thank you, CC :-*
The cam went down @ 0254hr :(
I'm on 5-minute refreshes, hoping it will come back up like it did last time (when I wrote to Jess and made myself look a numpty).

Having tortured myself with a speaker up to my ear, I can only hear the usual interference but with a low buzz beneath it - no ambient sounds.
Ah - a birdie.
An osprey landed - PU? - mantle/flapped and flew off after EJ landed. EJ's still with us, mantling.
Someone just paddled on EJ's back !!! Just for a moment :o
It's so fuzzy !!! :'(

Got in a muddle trying to sharpen up the snaps, here are bare bones of events.
Probably PU:
Flapping:
Where'd'he go?! (Flying off behind her head.)
First landing - I could show one leg and then the other up 'n down but I won't:
Nearly a sit-down:
Also he bounced back.
Off he flew, seen on the left of the nest. EJ didn't wait long before she flew... after him?
Coffee time.
All quiet.
