HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE!
The solstice is on Wednesday.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. There's a white-tailed deer fawn like this one on my patch. Her mother takes her across to the creek for a drink of water every day at dawn.

Annette - glad visit went well but still 80 across the desert at night that is still very hot. At least living on the coast you can go and have a swim and cool off!! lol.
Harelady - I am so sorry, I hadn't realised that she was that poorly. May she RIP now that she is out of all pain. Its always heartrending when a child goes before you but have strength and call on Him to help you through the pain and grief. Thinking of you.
OG - I do leave it off in the house when resting otherwise it gets too hot to be in it. Just put it on for the walking about etc. Still could have been worse with the minor head injury but nose and skull must be made of hard stuff!!lol.

LYNETTE - I can imagine the heat in the boot - I had a splint from hip to ankle for about two months, but for the next month only had it on for transfers in the hoist; it wasn't hot weather, but you can imagine the temperature in a hospital which had elderly vulnerable patients! Next Xray for me next Monday, and hoping I will see the actual consultant, not one of the registrars.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Eldest Grandson, his Wife and Miriam (now apparently shortened to Miri) are on holiday in Skye. This was his first Father's Day:
Miriam started "backpacking"!
Harelady- so very sorry to hear of the passing of your daughter. No adequate words to express the sorrow I feel for you and the family.
Harelady: Shocked to read of the death of your daughter. So very, very sorry. I can't imagine what you're going through. Hugs and love from here.....
Miriam looks cute, OG! Our Arabella is rarely called by her proper name. It is usually Bella.
I've been pressure washing paving slabs in the 'sittooterie'. They then extend around the outside of the conservatory and into a little courtyard outside the kitchen. Still have more to clean, also the crazy paving in the garden itself, which wasn't done last year. I would love to replace all of the square slabs, they are very 'eighties' in appearance. Three different colours laid randomly:-( However, that would be a very big job and a very expensive one, I think! One of these days.... My dear old Aberdonian husband never replaced anything just for the sake of it, he preferred to save money rather than spend it. We were very unalike in that way!! I rather think that LINDY will know exactly what I mean.
PAT - Congratulations on your magnificent hole in one!
I hope that you got some sleep, ANNETTE, in between waiting for the calls.
Regards to all
HEATHER - I agree that we need a thunderstorm - and personally we need more rain on our lawns - hope we don't have to water them later! Our slabs are quite mixed colours as they came from different places at different times and some have been moved around !
I'm happy for the thunderstorm to visit Scotland overnight, or tomorrow afternoon. But we have another round of golf tomorrow morning ... so please not then!
No rain yet - and forecast now says none until Friday, Decided to hope grass had enough this morning.
OG - I bet your slabs are not orange, peach, yellow and grey! Maybe more seventies than eighties, here?
We had three very heavy rain showers just after I was last on here. Sky is clearing, no thunder though. PAT - sorry, I had forgotten that you don't want rain. Very selfish of me!
Granddaughter Mia had her induction day today at secondary school, Elgin Academy. Predictably, she was more concerned about the food in the canteen than anything else! She is a very tall skinny girl who is always hungry. Her Mum is 5ft 11ins and I guess that Mia may end up taller.
