Well, Blue FC8 was first to land on the nest and it looked like he was looking out for our EJ. However, in the course of the day, he and EJ didn't cross paths on the nest though both were seen there separately. Nor was FC8 in the Love Tree when EJ was perched there. Wonderful photos of EJ having caught herself a whopper at Aviemore in the mist of the morning. Perhaps that is where she was when handsome FC8 came to call. Do they see each other in the skies surrounding the nest?

She flew off screaming at the top of her voice, which carried on into the distance until she couldn't be heard any more.
I added that to the video above.

A crow has been cawing for quite some time.
The crow has fallen silent.
No BC yet?
Oh dear, have I just recovered from another freeze?
EDIT
No freeze, just a sudden surge of hiss joined the rhythmic interference, and it continues.
I'm off again, see you later :)
Hi Scylla, I'm not one of the BC normally but wanted you to know that you are not alone! Sorry about all the techy problems, you do such a magnificent job keeping us all in the know. Thank you.
Flyby - redstart???
Good morning, Nannascot, thanks for chipping in :)
Right, I'm definitely off now, after that false alarm.
Morning Scylla, all the action seems to be at dawn, which is fairly early these days. I am just getting ENS atm, with sweet waving grass blooms.
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
