Unfortunately, since the cam was left on the side view (with no IR), there is a black screen accompanied by the sound of rain at the nest.
EJ was seen on the nest in the misty morning, and later eating fish in the Love Tree. In her absence, a Willow Warbler sang a serenade on the nest [scylla's video] and then a quick eye on the roving cam caught a redstart just under the nest. It's reassuring to see EJ on her nest so we know she hasn't been lured away to another site in the meantime. Hope we get a glimpse of her tomorrow. Thanks to all who have posted her whereabouts yesterday. Here's a lovely shot of EJ leaving the Love Tree.

I have no idea about a new 'relationship' but in 2015 with the failed nest, when both EJ and Odin remained loyal to the nest, Odin continued to bring EJ her fishy meals.

Good memory, Sheila! Well, if I were a young male looking for more than a hookup, I'd grab EJ and her nest in a heartbeat by bringing fish. She is a Cougar extraordinaire! :-D
I am a bit surprised that, given the length of time the unringed Odin look-alike has been around, he has not brought a fish to the nest or her. I would have thought he should try to lay a claim to the nest and then to EJ, and that certainly requires a delivery of fish!!
Edit: How could I possibly forget 2015!! It's one osprey year which is not ingrained in my memory for all sorts of reasons. The incessant intruders, Odin going missing, the broken eggs and finally the period of contented matromonial bliss on the love perch, the fish perch and the nest!
Yes. Strange. Is it possible he has a nest elsewhere that she has been visiting? If so, why doesn't he land here if he is following her and interested?

Forgot to post my hard-won* vid (shortened) of the above super-session, it's minus the above super-snap!
*Hard-won because I tried to insert a crop of the Chaffinch but the vid then failed to process, so I tried a cropped snap instead, that failed too, and I've done both many times before - "Assertion failed, try debugging, JIT must be enabled" blah blah, Google got me nowhere, tears and pouts!

Here is EJ relaxing and then (possibly/probably) inviting a male who must have showed interest in her, and being spurned??? It cuts me to the quick to see that :'(

Feetz in the corner - whose?
Wing-and-a-bit - whose?
Did two birds fly by?
She was after him/them like a shot!

Good afternoon, SHEILA and CC, am so pleased to share this with you both :-*
I agree --- that is indeed a SUPER capture!!! A never seen before type capture! Hello scylla - I need to mind my manners! :-D Those are great captures and vids for today, never mind pushing the envelope on the fancy chaffinch insertion!

I was hoping that the "failed assertion" thing might be familiar to you, with your undeniably superior video skills.
And after all that, I didn't post the cheeky Chaffinch snap:
Hi all. I watched the EJ on the nest episode. Took so long to post, that Scylla beat me to it.
I've dun 'em now, so I'll post 'em. NO intention to dup anyone.
Empty feet, no fish flying past
There he is
He flies around in a semi circle in the distance. EJ leaves
within a couple of seconds, he follows
