During her morning stint on the nest, EJ displayed a flapping-squealing-screaming fit (scylla's vid) but without the usually distinctive intruder alarm calls. A later event was reported in reference to a FB post that EJ had been eating a fish on a perch below the nest after which she took off after an intruder, an event recorded in yesterday's DU. Also on a lighter note was the information from a new poster that the oft-reported very cute redstarts seen pilfering EJ feathers actually have a nest on the first floor of Osprey Mansion. :)
I am back in town now --- thank you all for the reports over the last two days.

Good morning and thank you, CC :-*
It's getting light already and there's a bit of a breeze - but the wind is not blustery.
I wonder what sort of grass is now flourishing on the nest, with no-one to trample it down?

Cuckoo :)
Vaguely heard a couple of isolated chirps.

Not toooo wet:
On second thoughts, it's quite wet.
Crows heard.
Coffee time.
Wouldn't you know it?! Alarm calls from on(?) the nest while I was gone, I arrived back to hear EJ's(?) feet on the campost and see an osprey fly away from it.
Here she is again, just a chirp this time. Maybe it's the crows.
That didn't post. She just flew.

Up we go!
The second visit was uneventful apart from the sound of a crow:
