Bad weather may have deterred the birds from visiting the nest after the early-morning intrusions...
The first one, threatened only, EJ put up a spirited deterrence display, which worked temporarily:
^^^ My snap, cropped off the screen capture.
EJ stayed on the nest for a while looking forlorn, I thought, even from the back:
^^^ Moffer's VLC.
Then the unringed male managed to land but didn't stay long - that was almost the last we saw of ospreys for the day, but BIRDIE spotted UR pop in for a few moments only at 0810hr... somewhat charmless in comparison to our familiar, much-loved male resident :'(
.
The happiest image of the day, per Moffer:
We await developments with, for me, not a little dread tinged with faint hope.

Good morning, EJ - thank you for the single chirp on landing... and a couple more.
She's flapped a few times and is watchful.
She's flown.
I missed her coming to the nest, but its good to know she is around.

Good morning, MARY :-*
Here she is for you, edited but essentially all there ;)

The little redstart was back again, it sat on the rim, had a look around, then flew.
It was also here earlier, MARY - two of them, but I royally boobed when I stopped/restarted the recording to extract them - in fairness to me, I had fishes at Arkaig and Glaslyn...
What happened was, I heard flutters and saw a Redstart on the nest, poised, so stopped the recording, and at that very moment two of them zipped forward in a V-shape and out of the front of our picture. "Never mind, VLC has been wonderful lately, that'll rescue me" (I've had perfect 11+ hours and 13+ hours this past couple of days, but it was dead >:(

Morning all and thanks for all the updates, captures and vids.
Hopefully we'll see a little of EJ today but of course when we do, she is usually having to defend her nest so I always like to think when she is out of view that she is happily and peacefully eating a fish somewhere in the trees or just flying around building herself up.
And of course Odin, each day I hope when an unringed male lands that it is him!
In the meantime, quick check on the nest and its empty.
Good Morning all So sad seeing an empty nest
Good morning, KAREN and PATILY (again!).
To be honest, I don't know what to wish for - if I wish for the obvious, that may not be wise with intruders still about :(
EJ again, silent, watching out...
EDIT - A crow flew by just as EJ flew in.
Sudden stream of shouts from EJ. Is it ~vs~ crow?
