Yesterday the first chick was born! At 19.24 Moffer heard a 'croc' sound followed by chirps. A video by Scylla confirmed the noises. At 10.55 EJ finally took a break and we could see the chick. What a joy! :-) We should have good views today. Let's hope the weather improves, as yesterday was very windy. I'll do some posh links to videos in the morning.
Tiger's Osprey News
Thank you, NOC !!! I don't expect we'll need posh links once this thread gets to the top of the list ;)
I'm cooler now, and about to check if EJ has favoured us with any views of the new babe - but I've only got 3 hours to go thru...
The sky is getting light already!
And EJ is looking all fluffity and beautiful:

Cuckoo!
Brief but cannot be mistaken ;)
22s
Lots of shifting going on! At the moment tho, all we see are superduper feathers ;)
Enhancement maxed out:
It looks as tho EJ would dearly love to get up for a good flap but dare not - is she worried about predators? Have the crows succeeded in making her ultra cautious?
A tiny glimpse amid the restless EJ demo - tiny but definite:
45s
Thank you Scylla for the brilliant video of the osplet. Such good news. An early fish is needed so that we can see the first feed. The cuckoo is very persistent this morning. It is already starting to get light.
I haven't got time to examine this closely and my live snaps were useless.
The osplet's head is resting on an egg behind the clump of grass :-/
Good morning, RUSTY! :)
I'm trying to check on progress of other babes, it's not been an easy season so far.
Hi. Lovely view of the little osplet as EJ had a quick fly to stretch her wings. It's in the L side of the cup, now under EJ's front. WONDERFUL
In case you want to look back for that, it was at 3.58
