[HAD TO GET HERE BEFORE SCYLLA - TEEHEE] It was a hot day for panting Odin and EJ, but Odin managed a good sized headless trout for their breakfast. Great pics of EJ on the nest, with beak wide open calling, and while talking to her eggs (can they hear anything now?). Crows are still a problem - they seem to be watching the nest for fish, I think, though EJ is rightly protective of her eggs. Here's a variation on a theme. :)© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild

You are so tactful, SHEILA ;-D
If you ever needed proof that I take MOFFER's word as gospel, there it was ;)

FISH @ 12.37 Headless
A video (pretty please, not demanding but asking nicely) would show it better.
I've changed the title to "whole", but maybe it should be "lipless", poor dear creature :'(
And it's me wot called them "demands", MOFFER, and I like them ;)

After watching it again, I concede that I see what appears to be a face. Sorry all, I was wrong.
As EJ drags it away, it must have been the gill that looked so red
Scylla, did EJ bring any back?

Sorry for delay! When I was scrolling thru earlier I thought she did bring a tiny piece, but Odin didn't bother about it so I didn't bother doing a video, and a snap wouldn't have been clear. Omission rectified:
Thanks Scylla. I wonder where Odin has got to. He's been off cam since 2pm. No calling from EJ at all either, so he's not in view.
A brief alarm call from EJ
