Evening folks,
It was an action packed day yesterday with the eldest enjoying his new found freedom, unwanted visitors and EJ protecting the youngsters. The two left on the nest were practicing their wing flapping, hopefully one will fledge tomorrow if not both. Didn't see a lot of the action but recorded some.
All peaceful at present. Happy viewing to all in the early hours and see you in the morning, night, night.

Couldn't sleep so I just checked the nest #1 off to the left with a large fish presumably EJ's. Titch near the camera eating a fish #2 without a fish wing exercising .#2 better get some back bone or it will be very thin
Titch struggling and very frustrated trying to feed himself . He is nearly a week younger than #!
Whoa #2 got a bit of lift this time
Now something flying over head.
Intruder!! # 2 & 3 laying down and the Eldest standing mantling screeching and defending the nest !!. Titch just got up to join #1 in the defense while #2 still laying down, but is helping with alarm calling EJ must have gone fishing
Eldest and Titch Still alarm calling and mantling . Wow that intruder doesn't want to go away
Good Grief !! EJ and Odin should be able to hear the racket from the lake where they are fishing
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Just logged on to hear the hullabaloo of all three chicks shrieking and mantling because of an intruder. Its enough to wake the dead, no disrespect meant.
Thanks Annette for doing all the early morning posts and then you all from then on, great pics as always.
No sign of EJ or Odin, but the 'chicks' are doing a magnificent job of defence.
I wonder if the intruder is in the camera tree. . That is the direction they are looking
The eldest is not afraid of anything and his example seems to give courage to Titch.
I think the Intruder left
Eldest went back to eating while Titch continues to alarm call but is not mantling much . Now Titch went back to eating and is putting in a few alarm calls between bites :)
I think you are right, Barbara Jean: Eldest is frightened of no one, and his example gives the others courage.
#1 and #3 back to eating now................. NO, they are alarm calling again.........
And its still going on, been about half an hour now.
I have my volume very low and it still sounds very loud !
Its quiet again or nearly, one is still screeching away. I think it is the eldest on the left hand side facing outwards.
Oh dear, now two of them are at it again.
