As CLARACH 2R(13) from the DYFI Osprey Project has settled on the FCS Aberfoyle's main nest for the last week or so, it is probably best that there be a dedicated thread for Aberfoyle.
ABERFOYLE WEBCAM LINK - It operates between the hours of 09.30 am to 5.30 pm.
THE LODGE AT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE - Facebook Page where you will find current information and also historic info on the project.
Some history of Clarach's return to Wales - CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO TAKE YOU TO the excellent blog about her return.
Lets hope Clarach settles here, lays eggs and generally has a successful season.

Concerning no feed yet -
Agree Tempo, it is concerning and more so with Clarach being a new to all this.
We don't know if the chick was fed early before the cam went online but I suspect there would have been news on FB or a tweet showing it!
I am not sure how experienced the male is but I suspect the chick has not been fed yet ... just hope it gets something and soon.
Good news about the chick
Clarach is doing a fair bit of shuffling and looking under her just now. Maybe just the chick is unsettled as it must be hungry but I am also wondering if another egg could be hatching

I hope so Karen. I have been in and out checking throughout the day so see if any news on it being fed and thought I might have missed seeing it. The male really needs to get his talon out.
The Lodge has just posted on FB some videos of Clarach and her newly hatched chick for us to ponder over whilst we all patiently wait on a fish!
So, this tells us the chick has not had anything since hatching.
Yes, this male needs to get his act together and bring a fish in pronto!
LS now off.

Has ever an osprey been filmed from conception to laying to hatching to fledging to returning to breeding before?
Sheila and All who are following Clarach ... I think you will love this video from Dyfi titled "Clarach - So Proud"
