As CLARACH 2R(13) from the DYFI Osprey Project has settled on the FCS Aberfoyle's main nest for the last week or so, it is probably best that there be a dedicated thread for Aberfoyle.
ABERFOYLE WEBCAM LINK - It operates between the hours of 09.30 am to 5.30 pm.
THE LODGE AT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE - Facebook Page where you will find current information and also historic info on the project.
Some history of Clarach's return to Wales - CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO TAKE YOU TO the excellent blog about her return.
Lets hope Clarach settles here, lays eggs and generally has a successful season.

One or both of them have been busy since they went off air last night! But how lovely it is to see they've been working on their nest and added a little moss and some twigs - much, much better.
I've been watching on/off this morning and earlier the male was incubating for a bit so hopefully Clarach was enjoying a fish.
Also Clarach looked a little alarmed and immediately the male arrived mantling and defending the nest so he cant be far away.
Now, talk about never being happy LOL, it is now difficult to see the egg for moss but I'd much rather see a cosy nest cup than the egg(s) exposed :-)
Clarach has been standing up for a bit , just giving the egg a little airing.

Clarach is appearing a little restless just now. She is still up and walking around the nest/egg. Maybe getting eggy or needs a comfort break.
Clarach still moving around and the male has arrivedJust standing there
He has flown
The male has arrived on the nest and is alert
(c) Aberfoyle
He came from above the nest so as suspected, he is not far away. Could very well be sitting on the cam post. The male has now flown.
TWO EGGS ... Clarach has laid her second
He has come back
Clarach was low in the nest. it was hard as didn't know if laying or mantling. She was laying and the male arrived with a little stick :-)
Clarach stood up and I could see another egg :-)
Great News KAREN Well done you
I don't know what;s wrong with my image but the lower part is cut off Can't see legs, low in the nest etc
