Willow, Like you, I hope the bird lands on the nest or a perch where he can be photographed and it is proved to be Dai Dot. If not him, then perhaps it is one of his offspring since, if I remember rightly, he did have chicks for a year or two before being kicked off his nest.
Kind regards, Ann
hEllo Gardenbirder. I was very sad to see him kicked off his nest and he was never seen again, he is a beautiful male and i think he was after the Dyfi nest and i think B24 before he was escorted off the premises by Monty when he returned :)
A Unique view of Loch Garten nest.
Evening, All. Willow, I could easily be wrong, but I had the impression that Blue 24 and Dai Dot each wanted the Dyfi nest and not particularly each other! He gave up and had his own nest elsewhere but Blue 24 stayed around in hopes of gaining the Dyfi nest. She is Monty's ace in the hole should anything dire ever happen to Glesni--Blue 24 will be right there to step in!
Good morning all. Another hot day again :) More excellent news posted on the 27 that S2 has been spotted in the Netherlands, thats 2 chicks fron the same brood which is exceptional! Maybe we might even hear of S3. B33 is an amazing Osprey :) Pleased to see Loch of the Lowes three chicks are thriving too after so much sadness this year
58Willow - This must be pleasing. I know when you went to visit them in 2015 you were hoping that one day you would hear of at least one of them. Well 2 out of 3 is a huge success S1 and now S2.
LOTL has only two chicks as one egg failed to hatch. Went up yesterday evening after closing as they leave the hides open for viewing just No access to VC. The chicks are growing up well. Don't know what happened to the other egg just never hatched. If the two migrate then that's a huge success.
Good mornig/afternoon, Willow, Keith, Ann and ALL. Glad you have good news and thanks for posting. Even just two healthy chicks (at LOTL) is good news.
And TWO healthy chicks RETURNED is extra good news.
