This photo was caught shortly thereafter.
EJ got up to tend to her family as I watched. I was hoping to get a picture of the babe, but no such luck. I wasn't able to see anything, let alone get a photo.
The sun was making a real spectacle though and I got some nice shots of that.
, Well that was awkward! EJ just stumbled backward, trampling over both chicks as she went.. I'm sure it didn't feel good for them. I just hope that was the worst of it and that there were no injuries.
This picture is just after the stumble, as EJ caught her balance.

Hi Willow and Ann. Have you seen our visitor?
Good evening all :) June never spotted your mistake LOL!
Great news Cromarty is home I thought he had come to grief so delighted hes "home"
Also happy EJ has another bobble head :) Seems your "bobble head" word has almost become part of osprey terminology every one uses it :) Its a great word and describes them perfectly!
June love the photo of EJ in the sun rays really beautiful also the one showing the pine trees shrouded in mist!
Willow, I'm not sure where the word originated for a baby osprey. Maybe on Gabfest, certainly on RSPB forum. Possibly with me, but I don't really think so. I so much like the term and would love to be able to claim it as mine. So very appropriate, I think. I do love the wee ugly things at this stage. They are just so funny and cute and adorable!
