That is good news, June. I saw her lying down earlier, and I wondered whether there might be an egg coming, but it was just a fleeting thought!

Good evening. Interesting debate on rewilding the lynx as Lmac mentioned. I have mixed feelings about this as I would hate to see them reintroduced then persecuted again! There would be much opposition from farmers who could lose sheep. However it would be lovely to see them, but not at the expense of their survival.
Really good news that Clarach has laid an egg :) Very sad to see that 5F has laid eggs and hope like others that they will fail, rather than have chicks to die same situation happened at Dyfi and B24. I doubt Aran will be able to provide for all. Acrow has taken one of her eggs already and sad that it is probably the best outcome. (as Glaslyn said they have lost a potential osprey!)
I wasn't expecting an egg for Clarach just yet. I didn't think where was quite enough time time since she arrived. But I really don't have those time statistics in my head as I should after watching and following for the 9th year.

I tested this and it works for me., that is. it takes us to the article started in the above post. Scroll down to view the above video.
Just a good sharp Picture of EJ incubating her eggs. Yes, EJ. I can see her chest clearly enough to make positive ID.
Hi All
Reading your posts on a few of the Welsh Osprey Nests.
I am presently in Wales and today visited Dyfi Osprey Project.
Going to Llyn Clywedog Reservoir and Glaslyn later in the week.
On Friday before coming to Wales I was able to visit The lodge at Aberfoyle and also Loch Ard to see Blue 2R (Clarach). Today the news broke of her second egg whilst I was watching her mother at Dyfi enjoying the sunshine sitting on her three eggs.
There was an intruder yesterday at Dyfi a female which came very close to the nest all bar landing. Today we saw a male intruding but kept is height after previously been escorted to the estuary by Monty.
Not sure what will happen to both nests at Glaslyn - We will have to wait and see what Aran does but I think their is much more here to come.
A few pictures today including the intruding male and the water buffalo that manage the habitation of the project at Dyfi.
