Odin flew in with sticks, promptly placed one on EJ's back, then flew away.
Peter Cairns Scottish photographer and osprey supporter on BBC One show talking about rewilding Lynx into Cairngorms. Very interesting debate
So what do you think? Lynx a type of wild cat. Did they once live there naturally.?
A lynx is any of the four species within the Lynx genus of medium-sized wild cats, which includes the bobcat. Neither the caracal, sometimes called the desert lynx, nor the jungle cat, called the jungle lynx, is a member of the Lynx genus.
Yes June they did but hunting, loss of habitat, deforestation etc etc all contributed to their demise. Peter for it, farmers against it. They are off to Germany to follow how their introduction programme has gone. I'm not sure, although elusive I am sure it would get hunted by humans, perhaps trapped by farmers/estates just don't know. Not sure it is right to introduce to set the beast up to fail. There are plenty deer and rabbits to hunt but also lots of sheep.
