The season so far:
Mrs G arrived back on the 22nd March and her mate, Aran on the 7th April. Mrs G laid three eggs on the 19th, 22nd, and 25th April. Currently both adults are taking turns to incubate the eggs which are expected to hatch around the end of May.
At the nearby second platform, the Traeth nest, Blue 5F has laid an egg on the 28th April which is likely to be Arans!!

I haven't checked the cam since KAREN's snap but the cam seems to have failed to kick in with nightcam, or something else has gone wrong :(
Haha! See what just happened:
IMAGICAT
Every time I have looked in today, Aran has been around.
Does anyone have any news of the other nest and 5F?
Karen
I've not seen any news about 5F despite them saying on the home page that we would be kept informed. I think deep down they know how this is going to play out and are keeping a low profile. MrsG has the upper hand with her chicks hatching first and it's showing already. Gutted for 5F though as I think she is going to lose out again this year.
Just for my records because I never can find anything if I save it somewhere...
Aran appeared to eat the last of the fish on the nest @ 1622hr. (This might not be needed, but just in case ;) )
1930hr Aran donated whole fish! But not a lot was fed to the chicks.
After trying to fish it out (lol) Aran took the fish and flew off with it:
Brought back the tailend @ 2052hr, MrsG immediately fed the chicks from it:
This is to show the fish, not the chicks!
Last sighting of egg:
Some quite long black-screen episodes, but I think it's settled down now.
As far as I can see, MrsG has no fish until Aran goes fishing (for this nest!) again.
I absolutely hate the thought of 5F with no dedicated partner, and MrsG only has a half-hearted one too, even tho Aran spent quite a lot of time here today.
MrsG has been very alert, watching and hoping:
There have been no close-ups but the egg appears intact.
Delivered a few minutes before, had to wait for a good shot. We didn't see Aran bring it.
Aran's here now, partaking of fish on the side of the nest.
Hardly anything eaten and he's flown off with it - I wonder where?
Morning all .. thanks for all the overnight updates/captures.
Sheila C - thanks for the update on 5F or rather lack of news :-) Yes, I thought too they were going to keep us informed but No which only suggests all is not going to plan otherwise they would be blawing about how great Aran is what the marvelous job he is doing!
And likewise, Scylla - I really do feel for 5F in this horrible situation for her eggs cant be far off from hatching - a week I think?
Cam has gone black again, not refreshing back up at the mo.
Hmm, a message - it's blurred on my screen too.
