Egg #2 presented to us yesterday, which was otherwise a day of nuisances - corvids (I'm told Ravens, not Crows) and nest materials both contributing - the wind apologised and, displaying sincerity, blew that dang twiggy branch right off o' the nest.
Golden Girl:
(Actually a marmelised Moffer snap.)
Tonight EJ has been watchful but there have been no disturbances of note.
IMAGICAT
DAYCAM 0548hr !!!
Look at her, surrounded by bedding, ecstatic :)
Following some tweets from EJ, Odin arrived and (to be continued... Waiting for Odin to decide.)
Odin settles down to incubate - Oh I can't wait to see these lovely pair on the big screen in the VC....
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Good morning, MARY :) I knew you were here ;)
Odin flies in, no mating and, to EJ's resigned surprise, no fish either. His crop is quite empty, and he's so slow to get to his eggs! Everything was slow, tho, including EJ's get-up-and-go.
2m40s
No fish?!
EJ is back with chirps.
Good morning MC and Mary..again.
Birdies LG DU update.
Good morning, MIKE! :)
Odin is flying around after the corvids. I think.
And I just stopped the recording to do a video of his flybys, and he flew onto the nest :(
Awww thanks for that video Scylla, I had only caught Odin going in to settle down on the eggs live.
Poor EJ, it was like she was flexing her talons as though she was stiff from sitting so long, I wonder how much 20 osprey years equates to in humans years, I think she could be like me when I sit at this computer too long, all the joints stiffen up ha ha.....

Including flyovers and tagged-on landing on nest:

OOPS!!! tagged on at the wrong end ;-D Hang on...
Now it's 1m01s :-/
Off he's flown - I hope the corvid threat doesn't stop him fishing :(
Patily will enjoy those fly in's :-)
