The nest now with EJ asleep and the nest quiet. Will tomorrow bring another egg?© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild
Yesterday began with an intruder trying to mate with EJ [video by scylla] and a handsome suitor bringing a large fish for EJ but she told him off and he left. Then Odin hauled a half fish around while defending the nest so it wasn't until later that EJ managed to get a bite. However, the day progressed to a more routine domestic scene complete with mating, and head-trodding and stick deliveries on top of EJ. Odin seemed in a frenzy of building up the nest to the point of burying poor EJ. A guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.... ;-*

Thank you so much for letting us know! I just reinstalled Flash, as it's a problem with that that usually produces the Cannot load M3U8: 404 not found error. What a weight off my mind :)

Why on earth does he always land on EJ then??
Tiger's Osprey News
In fact practically all of Carnyx Wild's feeds are down with only about 1 feed working at present. As well as the Osprey Loch Garten webcam live, I like watching the Baltic Centre Kittywake colony live webcam as well and that's also down along with the majority of Carnyx Wild webcams at present.
Regards,
Ian.
Still down. I hope it's back and we have a clear view of the cup tomorrow. #2 should appear at some point.

I'll second that, Moffer.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
If the lad keeps bringing in that size of turfs, poor EJ is going to disappear completly!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
We are hoping to have a staff member go down to the Centre for us and switch things back on. Currently live on Carnyx are Kittiwakes, Peregrine, Goshawk and Razorbill.
Many thanks for the updates Peter. Let's hope it is up in time to see egg #2 arrive, probably tomorrow! Big smile!

Good grief, is Odin trying to bury EJ or just hide her from intruders?? :-)
I still think Odin is trying to make her as comfortable as possible. I notice she hasn't chucked out any of the soft stuff, and she's known to quite happily dump nesting materials over the side if she really doesn't want them there.
