A routine day yesterday - decent fish for EJ, and apart from a very brief skydance, which came to nothing, the only intrusions were deemed to be from unseen corvids.
Tonight EJ is still on the nest. She's been pickiing at the surface occasionally and looking left and right. No-one else seen or heard.
IMAGICAT
Just now she approached the egg-cup, retreated to the back of the nest again. Is now stood standing, looking out to our right.
She stirs now and again, otherwise no change.
No change, but I think she's asleep with the occasional chin-chew:
EJ just flew.
(^^^ failed to post)
Heard a slight clunk...

Also might have heard large wings but difficult to tell behind the wind so I haven't included them - plus there was nothing metallic to indicate she was on the campost.

Then, a flutter/rustle? Bit like a miniature grouse being flushed ;-)

Hi scylla! ;-* Just listened to your vids. Could it be that EJ is on a perch under the nest, close enough that the mic picks it up? Sorry - just got home and am exhausted. Must go to bed. Thanks for starting us up and being vigilant with the nighttime goings ons.

Both flew onto the nest - sounding a bit rusty-hinged. Mated, surprise-surprise. EJ remains at the back of the nest.
Odin arrived first:
Did some noisy paddling:
Another mating - heard more than seen, it's very dark.
Oops! Might help if I turned my screen brightness back up.
EJ is calling, various levels of volume, various tones... stopped.

That would account for the absence of metal :) Thanks, CC :)
