This pretty much summarizes what happened yesterday! EJ and Odin spent much of the day "getting back together". ;-)
And here is the nest presently. Hard to believe we have been waiting since Sept. 2016 for their return, and here we are. Eggs up next! Hmmm....about April 10th?© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild

Nothing new MC. LoL
Birdies LG DU update.
Am recovering and keeping calm, but there's no way to sort this muddle out.
This was the big stick that Odin brought in, and EJ helped him for a tiny moment:
1m34s
Here follow loads of snaps, which in my wisdom I cropped so I have no idea what order they should go in, or which of Odin's activities they were taken from. I lost some video, you see, so ended up going thru clips in the wrong order :-/
These snaps cover a period of well over an hour.
This was the best mating view this morning and I've lost the recording, this was from VLC - which promptly froze when I took the snap!
Bringing lichen clumps - a blurred head or a blurred tail, take your pick :(

The next mating, he slipped off and there was a tangle, they ended up in a stand-off and then flew away.
EJ is currently waiting on the nest, having been on the campost for a while (I heard).
Odin must have a fish, EJ is doing her lovely fish-chirping. Not desperate.
EJ's gone quiet.
Morning everyone, looks like a much nicer day at LG, not nearly so windy. So the lady is getting much attention, fish and the other!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That sounded like alarm chirps from EJ. Corvids?
Anxious little chirps from EJ now. Is she worried that Odin has eaten all but the tail?
Not what I want to see and hear, poor EJ.
And to add insult to injury, they've splashed green paint on her beautiful feathers :(
