Yes it is Mrs G. Let's hope a threat over her nest keeps her here and not faffing around along the road.
Thanks Sheila, good to see her.
Karen - you have voiced my thoughts and fears from this morning. I really don't like this situation. As you say B24 is a force and she seems to have given up the ghost on DYFI and turning her sights to here. If Mrs G stays put on her own nest and Aran returns it might work out but if B24 is on it then I don't like to think.
Until Aran returns Mrs G will be checking all the local nests in case an eligible male turns up. When (and if) he appears I would expect her to return and defend it.
B24 is also likely to try and win it. Would it be so bad if she did? Mrs G has had 11 years of successful breeding and has offspring raising their own families. B24 hasn't yet bred.

Someone is on the new nest. No idea who.
Camera just gone to day mode and it looks like Mrs G.
Bird at Glaslyn new nest now identified as 5F.
Just now, it looks like Mrs G on her own nest
Oh boy, three females. I do not envy Mrs G her situation. Hurry up, Aran!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
