The sad sight of a lonely dark nest. I think I was not the only one who thought Odin would have arrived yesterday. However, it may be right that he would wait to show his Magnificent Self on scylla's birthday! For certain, we will have our eyes peeled.

We usually have a blog in March introducing the Team. I hope they have one ready to man the doors tomorrow. Doesn't the VC usually open on 1 April?
EJ is on the nest quite relaxed and looking casually in the 'usual' direction!

Great to see that Odin is (probably!) back. I looked in this morning and no go and just now came on and saw all the excitement.
Well that is EJ on the nest, come on Odin... it is very windy though.
Maybe he is trying to get her a fish?
Good observation, Sheila. Also, I think the head pattern is similar. So stick to your guns, Sheila, cuz gut feelings are often right on.
No probs Sheila, no need to apologise.
You posting their tweets is actually good as it lets us see their reaction/the events of the day :-)
Well I am going tomorrow, but won't be till afternoon. I am sure Ian is still there and he has years of experience and Jess will know also even if the rest of the team are new.
Little pip noises from EJ, like soft contact calls. She is only half mantling now, just for a minute.
I am 99% that the male bird is Odin. Tufty boy, long skinny legs and hansome as they come, even with that stern look of his, and I do have a hat :o)

That is reassuring, thank you Lmac. Perhaps by then they will have had better views to be able to scrutinise and decide. It is so inconvenient of Odin not to be carrying ID!! I remember the confusion when we had an Odin lookalike around. But I feel that EJ's reaction would have been far greater had it been an intruder.
Have a good trip, and say hello from the LG forumers!!
Right about now, I'd love it if Odin showed up with a fish that EJ takes. Windy as heck.
Must be really difficult to fish in this wind.......and as for mating??!!! Lol
Peeking in whenever i can hoping to catch a glimpse of the UFO!
Much impressed by the winds EJ is standing up in.
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
