The sad sight of a lonely dark nest. I think I was not the only one who thought Odin would have arrived yesterday. However, it may be right that he would wait to show his Magnificent Self on scylla's birthday! For certain, we will have our eyes peeled.

27 Mar Male osprey arrived 17.50hr. EJ mantled furiously, appearing agitated. Settled down more on subsequent visits. Debate followed as to ID of the male. Some observers say Odin, others say not

I wouldn't stick my neck out and say that is definitely him, but he has a spot under his wing, although it is fainter in the 2015 photo, I think I can remember seeing this mark on Odin before.
Anyway just thought I would post these photos.... going for dinner now will check back later to see if any more confirmation has been posted,

Deja vu, and so hoping it's Odin. It would be easier on our nerves if returning ospreys could just sign in at the VC when they arrived.
