The sad sight of a lonely dark nest. I think I was not the only one who thought Odin would have arrived yesterday. However, it may be right that he would wait to show his Magnificent Self on scylla's birthday! For certain, we will have our eyes peeled.

I would love to ask if the cam could be "outed" a tad so that we don't get missing heads so often... but dare not :(
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Scylla, happy birthday to you! Hope you have a lovely day. A good time to thank you so much for all the wonderful work you do to keep us up to date while we sleep ... you certainly deserve an extra cup of coffee!!
Happy birthday Scylla. I do hope Odin arrives for you (and us too!) Thanks you for your hard work in the early hours. Great photos. Super card Mary.
Happy birthday wishes from me too, Scylla - do so hope Odin turns up to celebrate with you! MC control deserves a celebration today.

HUGE birthday greetings from me to you, Scylla! I do so hope your Odin wishes come true today, and we see our favourite pair together for another season at Loch Garten!!
I have looked thru the non-PM vid. Did EJ bring in a large stick as she noisily landed, or merely catch a stick from the rim and draw it in on landing? If she brought it in, was she holding it on nest campost before dropping down? Was that the 'noise' we could hear. Questions without easy answers LOL!
Now to catch up.

The mystery stick. This is what I meant about a stick appearing.
CC's pic at 02.13
When she landed with a lot of clinking noise at 03.10 and a new stick appears
and 04.50 a nice view of it.
Is it an old stick which had dropped over the side, and as she landed heavily on the nest did it swing as if on a pivot on to the nest? Or did she bring it in?
Still ENS with the cam on the nest - and Y-stick is now on the rim
