DAILY UPDATE ~ Loch Garten nest ~ Thursday, 30 March 2017

What normally happens when a said female or male Osprey doesn't return to the same nest the next year. Does the nest site normally attract new Osprey or Ospreys. Just very curious.

Thomo, Odin is an April sort of guy.  Not sure he likes the March weather in Scotland so no need to worry yet. EJ often has a couple of weeks to kick up her heels and get her self into enormous amounts of trouble...hence her reputation :)

Since the XD fracas Odin has  been coming back earlier and earlier. He is no longer an April guy. His delay is either weather , or.......

We love EJ but have to be honest - I'm so surprised that none of the male passers-by have "dropped in on her" yet!

Cirrus last year odin arrived  on 28th but 2015 was 6th April.  2014 was 30th March and 2013 was later into April. Probably not at worrying point yet

Lots of birds were late in 2013 and 2015

The last 10 days of March 2013 were the coldest since 1790

We had the amazing saga of Blagdon Lake.
