What normally happens when a said female or male Osprey doesn't return to the same nest the next year. Does the nest site normally attract new Osprey or Ospreys. Just very curious.

It varies a lot. When Ollie did not come back in 2002 it took two years to sort out the succession. See Loch Garten 2002

Thomo, Odin is an April sort of guy. Not sure he likes the March weather in Scotland so no need to worry yet. EJ often has a couple of weeks to kick up her heels and get her self into enormous amounts of trouble...hence her reputation :)
