As there has been a sighting of an Osprey at Bassenthwaite, I thought it would be a good time to start this years thread.

Thanks Chrisy for the update on White 14 and the live streaming, good news indeed.
It's looking good for White 14. Could he already be across the Channel? Another osprey that likes the high life with chateaux!
On the 9th April our No 14 was just South of Anger; he is now to the North and flying directly towards England and the Lake District. Keep a look out for him from now on as with a tail wind it is feasible he could be here tomorrow.

KL has laid her first egg!!!
WHITE 14 - Still only a young boy at 4 year old. Wonder if he will just wander around again this year. I would love to see him get his own nest before his transmitter ceases.
It would certainly be interesting, Keith. It was a shame that Rothiemurchus' tag failed. Oh, and wasn't Blue YD(12) tag another?
LATEST FROM THE LAKE DISTRICT - re the webcam not working. They are working on it!
Yes Sheila you are right Blue YD(12)'s tracker did fail, but he has been sighted several times over the last few years. He even intruded at Balgavies his natal nest. :-)
Thanks for that news, I had just been trying it and got a blank screen! Hope they get it sorted soon.
There should be news of 14 hopefully soon?
I have just got the nest streaming, it is Flash and did not like my Chrome, but have it in Firefox. It seems to be just half of the nest in view, hope that changes.
It is the same rather convoluted way of getting there, as last year.
