The webcam is not yet up and running but I've started a thread in eager anticipation.
As I looked in there was mating going on but the stream froze and by the time I'd got it back the male had gone and all I could grab was this shot. No rings seen.

Birdies LG DU update.
Seems it is the established pair?...at least I assume that is what the tweet means?.

I check a few times daily, but keep running into ENS. Not of much help, Sorry...
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
Just posted on the page...Twitter??
"Mike Redman @MichaeliRedman
Ospreys seem to have settled for second nest. Bird sat on nest and other in nearby tree with flatfish early this morning #FoulshawOspreys"
Looks like this is the answer as to why it's ENS
It is more and more looking like that.
I will keep checking the ENS nest though, just in case ^^
Thanks for the updates, yes it looks like they've settled for the other nest but like Otter I will check the nest just in case an intruder tries to claim it.

"
Both #FoulshawOspreys on other nest. Mithering crow seen off. Mrs has stayed on nest for 3 days, so egg(s) likely."
Looks like the camera nest is up for grabs Jane.
The website is updated now, with the info that Mike has given above.
I went there today, and had a look at the new/old nest. It is visible from the viewing platforms, said to be slightly further away than the camera nest. There was supposed to be the female on eggs but with the heat haze (?!) it was not possible to see her even with someone's scope. The male had been on a nearby tree but not in the about 2 hours I was there! Never mind it was a nice morning and stone chats were about, a female was pulling at the fluff of the bullrushes.
The entrance to the Reserve has now been improved and notices to warn of the turn off, necessary as it is a fast road.
ENS this morning again.
Thank you ChrisyB, wish I was closer to a reserve with ospreys.
