The webcam is not yet up and running but I've started a thread in eager anticipation.
Sadly ENS.
Apparently there was an intruder yesterday on or near the cam nest and both birds flew over from the 2013 nest to defend. I think they've made their minds up now, disappointing for us and CWT but let's hope they go on to raise some young.
It certainly will be a shame Jane. So much work for nothing if it turns out that way.
The main thing is they have a successful season.
Birdies LG DU update.
Taken from CWT Twitter feed this morning -
Unidentified bird with blue leg ring chased off cam nest 10:20.
If anyone spots the ring number of the #FoulshawOspreys nest intruder, please let us know.
Intruder bird on the cam nest.
Twitter feed.
Apparently an intruder on the nest at 16.45, Blue 35 staying put on other nest.
There is an osprey on the nest at the moment, but I can't make out who it is.

Thanks Starling! I wish it would move towards the camera so it could be +ID.
I managed to get 3 grabs but none of them are clear enough to get the ring number...might be C or O.
Be good if there were another pair on there.
Lol that's what I'm thinking, it doesn't help that branch sticking up blocking the ring.
17:11 it is looking like 35 to me...
[edit] Now it is not!!! [/edit]
2016: first time in history an Osprey nested in the NL. 2018: 2 active nests! 2019 a storm interferes. 2020: a third active nest in a tree!
