Update on UV

Thankyou Jaydee 4 eggs again this year! 4 eggs for Maya too, is this becoming more usual? Maybe just because there are more nests watched publicly and more nests than ever before, which is great news. Hope the weather remains favourable for the parents to supply these ever hungry growing chicks.

UV has been going at some speed but I hope he stays safe , regarding the strong Easterly winds in the Meditteranean. Thankyou for the updates :)

Re 4 eggs becoming more usual your point about more nestcams and 'public' sites must be a big factor. The sites that the public are aware of that have had four eggs over the last three years are nests very near good foraging areas which must be a critical factor. As well as the condition of the adults, hunting ability of the male and weather!
