Thankyou Jaydee for the update on UV, I too dont like the idea of him roosting on the desert floor as I think of Rutlands AW? who was predated. I suppose there are no trees or many places suitable so have no choice :( Come on home safely UV ! Now the Atlas Mountains! Are they challenging for a migrating osprey?
Willow. The story I think you are referring to is here. Although the remains were found on the desert floor the thought is, and the evidence suggests, that he had been roosting in a tree.
