The purpose of this thread is for recording the season’s day to day activity at the Manton Bay nest thus freeing up the Rutland Osprey Project 2017 thread for general news on all the other birds, nests and projects.
For anyone new following Manton Bay, Maya and Blue 33(11) have been the resident pair for the last two years and to date have raised six chicks. More details about the nest and a table of the breeding data can be found here. Last season Maya returned on the 21 March and Blue 33(11) arrived a few days later on the 27 March.

I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
I see they keep themselves busy. ;-) Not too long to eggs now.

I am positive an EG just flew by/at the nest. To quick to capture. 33 on the nest, he hasn't given chase!
Scylla - are you recording by any chance? I didn't think they were still around!
33 has been working away on the nest getting it just so so and of course a little practice :-D
