The purpose of this thread is for recording the season’s day to day activity at the Manton Bay nest thus freeing up the Rutland Osprey Project 2017 thread for general news on all the other birds, nests and projects.
For anyone new following Manton Bay, Maya and Blue 33(11) have been the resident pair for the last two years and to date have raised six chicks. More details about the nest and a table of the breeding data can be found here. Last season Maya returned on the 21 March and Blue 33(11) arrived a few days later on the 27 March.

Hopefully 33 has gone off to get her a fish :-)
I am so happy to see them both
Just fantastic that 33 and Maya returned to their nest on the same day! (If only EJ and Odin could manage that...)

Poor fish is still alive :-(
I remember last year Maya had a fish when 33 arrived and she gave him it. I wonder if she will share this and thereafter he is on the deliveries LOL
It certainly is a big fish, good for Maya....
