The 2017 season is almost upon us and my first thoughts are of 03(97) / Mr Rutland as he was usually the first back on or around the 17th March and heralded the start of the season.

Sadly 03(97) is no longer with us but it is nice to think of him and smile knowing his legacy will live on as we now eagerly await the safe return of all the regulars and also new returnees.
A safe journey to all.
Does anyone live near Cambridge? Heffer's is hosting a talk by Tim Mackrill and Ken Davies next Wednesday, 28 March at 6.30pm. Tickets were till available yesterday! An illustrated presentation during ‘World Osprey Week’.

Tiger Signature
Thanks for links Tiger. Really enjoyable read and stunning photos and sketches. Worrying the amount of debris on the beaches especially the old nets. A little further down the coast Sky News did a report last Saturday morning on a river delta in Nigeria which has been destroyed by oil pirates. The destruction is terrible and crude oil spilling out into the ocean is terrible. A vast area is just black and wasted land.
